CFP Special issue: Audiences' Trust in the Media

COST Action “Transforming Audiences, Transforming Societies”

Working Group 1 - Task Force 3 “Trust and the Media” is announcing a call for papers to a special issue on "Audiences’ Trust in the Media" in co-operation with the peer reviewed Serbian journal Communication Management Quarterly – Časopis za Upravljanje Komuniciranjem.

The special issue is based on a panel at the conference organized in Zagreb, April 2011. Now also other members of the action are invited to submit their abstracts.

CfP COST Workshop on ‘Post-socialist media audiences’

The project ‘Post-socialist media audiences’, a national partner of COST Action IS0906 ‘Transforming Audiences, Transforming Societies’, would like to invite submissions of abstracts for papers to be presented at a day workshop on post-socialist audiences and audience research. It will deal with aspects of, and reflections on political and economic transformation in media consumption in post-socialist cultures and the research about it.

ECREA Doctoral Summer School 2012 - Call for COST Action participants

Deadline for application: March 25, 2012

As part of the strategy of the COST Action IS0906 “Transforming Audiences, Transforming Societies” to support the current research of its PhD students, a partnership was established with the ECREA Doctoral Summer School (http://www.comsummerschool.org), and the Management Committee of the Action has allocated 2000 EUR to fund the participation of two PhD students.

The COST Action invites applications from its PhD students interested in participating in the 2012 ECREA Summer School, to be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia from 12 ­- 25 August 2012.
