WG1 and WG2 are pleased to announce the publication of two special COST sections in Participations: The journal of audience and reception studies.

The final task of the Action consists of relating academic research within the Action to the field of social practice. Specifically, participants will reflect on the significance of their research results for state, civil society and industry.

The Action will submit an overall report, which will be compiled in three steps:

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that (OBS*) Observatorio journal's special issue “Networked belonging and networks of belonging” is now available. This special issue results from the work of Working Group 2, Task Force 3 of the COST Action IS0906 “Transforming Audiences, Transforming Societies”.

COST is an intergovernmental framework for European Cooperation in Science and Technology, allowing the coordination of nationally-funded research at the European level.

In contemporary cities, the effects of advanced telecommunications and
commodified media exist everywhere around us. In both eye-catching and
oblique ways, mass and personalised media forms reshape our spatial
practices and perceptions of specific milieus and the city as a whole.

We invite presentations that deal particularly with the following issues:
