The COST Action is over... but things are going on!

Dear all,

The COST Action Transforming Audiences, Transforming Societies, has come to an official end on 28 February 2014.

Last newsletter of WG2

Working Group 2 of the COST Action IS0906 "Transforming Audiences, Transforming Societies", an initiative that coordinates research efforts into the key transformations of European audiences within a changing media and communication environment, by identifying their complex interrelationships with the social, cultural and political areas of European societies, presents a new edition of its newsletter.

Since the Action is now over, this is the last edition of this newsletter.

Sixth (and final) WG2 essay collection published: Alternative Media and Participation

The final WG2 TATS Cost Action essay/interview collection, entitled Alternative Media and Participation, which was edited by D. Beybin Kejanlioglu and Salvatore Scifo, has just been published.

This special issue of Budapest Management Review is guest-edited in collaboration with the Working Group on “Audience interactivity and participation” of the COST Action IS0906 “Transforming Audiences, Transforming Societies”.

COST Action special issue/edited book on "Methods for Analyzing Social Media" receives an award

The editorial board of the Journal of Technology in Human Services has chosen the double issue/book on "Methods for Analyzing Social Media" edited by Klaus Bredl, Julia Hünniger and Jakob Linaa Jensen as the winner of their Best Article award (of 2010 until 2013). The double issue/book focuses on researching social media, which is a complex but increasingly important topic.

The publication was supported by the COST Action IS0906 Transforming Audiences, Transforming Societies, as an initiative of Working Group 3 on "The role of media and ICT use for evolving social relationships".
